"Gang Gunfire"
Performed by Roland Allen
Aaron Standish was touched by gang violence in 1989. He wore his red bandana headband (because that's what color they sell at the feed store) to the Oroville Blues Festival and was challenged to a duel by a young man sporting a much tougher looking blue bandana headband. Never one to back down from a fight, Standish ran home and wrote a song. Well, the parody words anyway. The rest is Jerry Lee Lewis's "Great Balls of Fire" with Roland "Grey Balls on Fire" Allen on piano and vocals. First performed on a 'Wacky Wednesday' at LaSalle's (Chico, CA) in Spring 1989, this version is from February 2002 at the Chico Women's Club.
